Encompassing the area around the Ruiru Sub-Country Headquarters, Ruiru Sub-County market, Ruiru Sub-County Hospital, Ruiru Police Station, Ruiru commuter rail station & Ruiru Bus park from gravel to Bitumen standards. Others improvement works on the drainage systems and services such as service ducts and street lighting. Officially opened in a ceremony held on the 29 April 2016 by CS Prof. Kaimenyi and Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo

Challenges

Private water connections were a major challenge owing to the fact that this was an urban centre meaning that a tactful more delicate approach was needed in order to reduce the inconveniences caused by the works. These same inconveniences also needed to be kept to a minimum as the area had a lot of delicate amenities from the Ruiru Sub-county Hospital (a major maternity centre), the Ruiru Sub-County market (a source of livelihood for a large population) and Ruiru Police Station (a major station serving the area as well as the immensely busy Thika Superhighway)
